I have been posting about Tyler so much lately. Emily is such a great big sister to Tyler and a great helper to me. She has made up the nickname "biddo" for him. She still loves going to dance once a week and is learning more and more of the technique. We also started her in swim lessons again to get her ready for the summer. She can swim pretty well, but is not pool safe yet.
Tim and I
still don't know where she gets all her energy and she runs us ragged
everyday with no nap!! Right now she likes....helping in the kitchen
and making cookies, playing hide and go seek, kicking the soccer ball,
throwing water balloons, doing the slip and slide, going to the park,
riding her bike, and holding her "biddo."
You may
have noticed in Emily's pictures that she has red spots on both her cheeks
and chin. We have been to a dermatologist and 2 pediatric allergists to
figure out what is causing it. It has been there for months. None of the prescriptions they have
given us have cleared it up. They tested her for some airborne
allergens and foods that I am allerigic to, but they all came back
negative. She has contact dermatitis, which means something that she
touches is making her break out. She has had these rashes on her face
for months and it is so frustrating as a parent to see her look like
that, but they never bothered her. Finally, the 2nd pediatric
allergist, who is supposed to be "the guy" around here, said to use
Cortisone over the counter twice a day and it WORKED!! Hallelujah! Who
would have known it would have been that simple.
